Cara's Ab Circle Pro Review

I bought an ab circle pro off the internet in august 2009. I wanted to try it using the $14.95 30-day trial. I figured I'd use it for a month and see how it went. If it didn't work, I'd just send it back. Well, the first negative I have for this product is that they charged me a $35 shipping and handling fee. I really don't mind paying for shipping but they should make it clearer that the "trial" is really about 50 bucks total, which would definitely change the minds of alot of potential customers I think! So anyway, I started using the product and initially did not like it so much. It's a little hard to get used to an exercise machine that requires you to be on your hands and knees the whole time. But after about a week I started to see the benefits of this piece of equipment. Since I have some back and neck problems, the ab circle pro is actually ideal for me because it doesn't make you round your spine. The first week of using it I felt a little bit of soreness in my neck and arms, but that went away once those muscle got stronger.

I've been using it at least 3 times a week for over a month and I've been getting some pretty good results, both in terms of losing weight and in terms of strengthening and toning my muscles. So does the ab circle pro really work? I can't say with 100% certainty that it will work for everyone who uses it. But so far it's helped me tighten up my midsection and lose a couple of pounds. In fact, it gives me a better cardio workout than I expected and now I think that may be it's biggest benefit. Hopefully I'll be able to lose some more fat and get a six-pack before next spring. If it really works as good as the commercial says, that should be no problem... right?? Haha... yeah, we'll see!

Ab Circle Pro Review from an Unhappy Customer

Here's a long review we received from a not-so-happy Ab Circle Pro customer...

Hi. I'm sending you this review because another site I posted it on took it down after just a couple of days for some reason. I assume that's because it reveals that the Ab Circle Pro isn't all it's cracked up to be! I've noticed that almost all of the published reviews and testimonials for this product are positive, which makes me think that someone is doing their best to keep "negative" reviews out of sight. I hope your blog isn't like that and that you do post this so that my own experiences can help others.

First off, let me just say that I think the idea behind the Ab Circle is a good one. I was told by a personal trainer friend of mine that abdominal exercises that require flexing the spine and "rounding" the back are very bad and can cause serious back/spine problems over time. So the way that the Ab Circle Pro keeps your back straight while allowing you to exercise your core muscles is good... at least in theory.

Here's the problem with this product: it's not made very well! At least many of them aren't, including the one shipped to me! The thing started falling apart on me literally the first day I used it. Both kneepads had cracks in them, paint started flaking off in bunches, and the rollers stopped rolling smoothly around the circular track.... all in a matter of hours. Also, the plastic electronic timer/calorie counter would not stay on the machine at all, no matter what I did. It started falling off within the first 10 minutes of my first attempted workout. After just a couple days of use other small parts started falling off as well.

Could I still do the ab workout routines? Yes. Was it enjoyable trying to exercise on a cheaply made machine that was falling apart during use? No, not really! The strange thing about the Ab Cirlce is that the steel it's made from is pretty heavy duty. As I believe the commercial says: "gym quality" steel construction. That's fine and great. But if you attach a bunch of cheap, low-quality plastic junk onto that heavy duty steel it really doesn't make a difference now does it?

I can't say for sure that ALL Ab Circle Pros are made as badly as mine is. A girlfriend of mine bought one last month and swears she's had no problems with it... yet. I've also seen other Ab Circle Pro reviews that swear it's the best home exercise machine out there. So maybe it's just the luck of the draw and you just have to hope you get one of the "good" ones. But for $200 dollars I don't think it is too much to ask for a decent-quality workout machine that doesn't fall apart as you're using it!

Jack's Ab Circle Review

Hi. I bought the Ab Circle Pro after seeing it on HSN. It was delivered very quickly, arriving just a couple day after I ordered it. My wife and I were looking for something to have at home to help us lose fat and tone up. We figured this was a good solution for both of us, especially since the abs/belly area is the main "problem area" for both of us. Well, after more than 2 months of using it, our opinions differ completely! I can't stand to use the thing... and my wife loves it. I've used it less than 10 times and I doubt I'll ever use it again. It's just not designed for a relatively large guy like me. Comfort-wise it's a no-go and I just had to give it up and go back to the treadmill. My wife on the other hand uses the Ab Circle several times a week. She really enjoy its and best off all, she's lost about 5 lbs and a couple inches from her waist. Needless to say she's happy with the thing. The bottom line in my opinion is that the Ab Circle Pro is really designed for women's smaller bodies... not for men!

I've had my ab circle pro for a month or so. I've been using it at least 3 times per week since it arrived. It definitely works your abdominal muscles and your entire "core", including the love handles and lower back, very well. you also really feel the exercise in your shoulders, arms, hips, and thighs. overall, the workouts are not as easy as they make it look in the commercials but i guess that's a good thing. a harder workout means more sweat and (hopefully) more fat loss! about the knee pads: they definitely should have more/better padding. that's my biggest complaint. if you have knee troubles this isn't the fitness machine for you! the timer and calorie counter are nice additions but i have a better calorie monitor that i use for all my workouts so the ones on the Ab Circle don't get used that much. so far i've lost about 8 pounds doing the ab circle workouts as well as some treadmill jogging and elliptical machine training. i was doing weight lifting before but since the machine leaves my arms, shoulders, back so sore i gave it up for the time being. hopefully i'll be able to lose at least 20 lbs within the next couple of months and i think the Ab Circle Pro will help me do that.

Hi. I began using the Ab Circle Pro in May of 2009. I've successfully lost about 20 pounds in that time (with diet and other exercise of course). I've also toned up all the muscles in my body, especially in my hips, thighs, arms, and especially abdominal/core area. So far I'm pretty happy with my Ab Circle Pro. I'd give it about a 6 or 7 out of 10. My only "big" complaint is that it can be a little tough on the knees, especially if you use it alot like I do. I was using it nearly every day for 2 months and the pads started to wear down. I was able to find a solution fortunately by adding some heavy-duty soft rubber to the pads. This really made my workouts alot more comfortable and enjoyable. More effective as well! I think this first version of the Ab Circle is a pretty decent product. I just hope they make the next version with a little more focus on comfort. It seems to be contructed out of about 90% high-quality materials. Bump that up to about 95% and you've got yourself the ideal home workout machine. It is after those "little things" that make all the difference, especially when you're talking about workout equipment. After all, if it hurts most people just aren't going to do it! Anyway, that's my review. I'm a pretty happy Ab Circle Pro customer and glad I made the investment overall. My fitter and now much sexier body is happy too!
